Back from the Christmas break and the studio is and running again, here are a few of previous clients who came to get their Actor headshots before and after Christmas!
Marlon Karda came to the studio all the way from the Netherlands to get his first ever set of acting headshots, Marlon is just starting out with his acting career and so wanted to get a broad range of headshots that he could use for a variety of roles.
We started the session by having a chat about type of castings that he could see himself applying for and then had a look through his clothing options so that we could match certain clothing to lighting setups / backdrops and characters. From here we started shooting lots of different character expressions and we changed the mood with different lighting setups. Marlon was great at taking direction and was really up for trying out new expressions that can help showcase his acting style.
Before the day of your headshot session it’s a really good idea to have a chat with your agent if you have one or have a think about the type of castings that you want your acting headshots to be used for. By having an idea of castings allows your headshot photographer to really tailor the headshot session towards you and what you want to achieve from the session.

Muna Abdulahi is currently studying acting and wanted to get some headshots taken for her course and agent. Muna was very comfortable in front of camera and so that allowed us to really shoot a lot of setups in the time that we had for the headshot session.
We wanted to shoot several different looks for Muna so that she could show different characters and age ranges, we did this by changing clothing, lighting setups, backdrops and also her hairstyle. By putting her hair up really made Muna look younger and so we made sure that we took a set of shots that could show this.
Your acting headshots can really show off not only your range as an actor but can also show the different age ranges that you can play. For women you can achieve this by styling your hair differently and also changing your makeup during the session, for guys it can be as simple as growing some stubble before the session and then mid way through the shoot shave it off.
I believe in giving you a large variety of looks when you have a headshot session with me. My goal is to give you a selection of shots that show your range as an actor and most importantly get you seen! Take a look at some more of my work with lots of other actors!
James Goode is about the best in the London West End production of “The Book of Mormon” and chose me as his London headshot photographer. James had a really clear idea of the type of acting headshots that he wanted to achieve and so we got straight into the session very quickly.
It was awesome fun shooting with James, he was very confident in front of camera and nailed every look and mood that we shot, we changed backdrops and lighting setups to give him a variety of headshots that could be used for auditions as well as PR shots for theatre programmes.
