With 2018 beginning it could well be time to get some new actor headshots and here are some tips to help you find your perfect professional headshot photographer.
Start by having a look at lots of different headshot photographers so you can see the various styles of headshot and then have a sense of which styles you like best and what would work for you and your career, a great place to start is the Spotlight Photographer Directory as these photographers specialise in actor headshots and have been vetted by Spotlight so you can be confident that they know the process and will be able to walk you through everything if it is your first time.
Next up is to decide what budget you have for professional headshots, there is a large variety of pricing in professional headshot photography and its a great idea to have a budget set as this will allow you to refine your choice of photographer based on the style of their work and what you want to spend.
I believe in giving you a large variety of looks when you have a headshot session with me. My goal is to give you a selection of shots that show your range as an actor and most importantly get you seen! Take a look at some more of my work with lots of other actors!
When you have your list of photographers, have a look through their work and read through any information that they give on their site (most professional headshot photographers will give you information on the types of sessions they have available, their process when it comes to the session, a price list and contact information) if you have any questions that you want to ask before booking a session, get in touch with them to find out any information that you might want to know before booking a session with them.
When you have a session booked with your photographer of choice, the next thing to do is prepare for the headshot session! I, like many headshot photographers, send out an information pack when a client books a session which acts as a guide for clothing, hair and makeup, what to expect in the session as well as contact info for the session day. Have a read through everything and ask your photographer any questions you have if you are still unsure about anything.
I'll make sure that you'll always be able to have a relaxed, fun time in your Headshot Session, you'll never be rushed and I take time to get to know you as an person and what you want from the session!
Session Packages start at £150 with Student Discounts available!
Try to get a good nights sleep the night before your headshot session and always leave plenty of time to get to your photographer’s studio, as a London headshot photographer I know that public transport always has a knack of going wrong precisely when you don’t want it to so by leaving lots of time to travel it won’t matter if your train gets delayed!
At your session, your headshot photographer will go through everything with you and can happily answer any questions that you have. Whoever you have chosen to take your acting headshots is there to work with you and help you achieve the best results possible so trust that you are in good hands and have fun!
Testimonials are a great way of seeing what a session will be like as you can read about my previous clients experiences!

David is a great photographer. He made me feel really comfortable. Before working, we had a chat with a cup of coffee to talk about my work and my expectations. The result is great. I love my acting headshots. Thank youManon Folligan
