As a London Headshot Photographer I have the pleasure of working with lots of very talented individuals who are all at various stages of their careers, by getting to know each client and their history and goals allows me to tailor each headshot session to their requirements and provide headshots that help them in their career and get them in front of casting directors.
Stacy Shane recently booked a Deluxe Headshot Package Session with me as he and his agent wanted to update his portfolio with specific characters and character looks. As with all clients, Stacy and I had a chat when he arrived about the type of roles that he usual gets cast for and some roles that he would like to be cast for in the future, next we went through the clothing options that he had brought and the types of characters that he thought they could be associated with.
We choose to go with a variety of backdrops and lighting set ups that could help portray different characters when paired with certain clothing options, Stacy is an experienced actor and so he had a very clear image of what he wanted to achieve from the headshots session and by having a clear goal in mind we were able to shoot a really wide variety of looks that work for large range of castings.
Its always a great idea to have the type of roles that you want to go for in mind when you are having an actor headshot session as this will really help both you and your headshot photographer have a clear direction to take the session and sign a set of looks that work best for you through a combination of expressions, clothing, lighting and backdrops.
I'll make sure that you'll always be able to have a relaxed, fun time in your Headshot Session, you'll never be rushed and I take time to get to know you as an person and what you want from the session!
Session Packages start at £150 with Student Discounts available!
Charles Jacobsohn came by the studio for his first set of acting headshots and was looking to get a diverse selection of character looks that could be used for a wide array of roles, we had a chat about his acting career and then I walked him through how I run acting headshot sessions. I find that a lot of clients are nervous before their headshot session but things really do get easier when they know what is going to happen in the session and what I’m doing in terms of lighting set ups and the reasons for using certain backdrops.
Its really important to feel comfortable when getting your actor headshots as it will really show in the final results, by asking any questions you have before your session and during your session can set your mind at ease and let you concentrate on the task at hand of performing in front of the camera. Professional Headshot Photographers are here to help and work for you so that you have the best acting headshots possible, I always encourage actors to ask questions and tell me if they prefer certain looks as this really does focus the headshot session into a more personal shoot that is tailored to their style.
Charles was great fun to work with and he really embraced the different characters that we talked about shooting so that he could have a really wide range of looks, he was able to get comfortable in the shoot quickly and as a result had a large number of headshots to choose from!
I believe in giving you a large variety of looks when you have a headshot session with me. My goal is to give you a selection of shots that show your range as an actor and most importantly get you seen! Take a look at some more of my work with lots of other actors!
