Here are a few more recent actor headshot sessions that have taken place in the studio recently along with some advice for before, during and after the session!
Drew Hartland booked in for his first set of professional actor headshots as he is looking to take another step forward in his acting career. We discussed the type of roles that he saw himself going for in the future and then structured the headshot session accordingly.
We decided to shoot a mixture of in studio and outdoor headshots as this would give Drew a wide variety of acting headshots to choose from to cover a large range of roles. A really important headshot tip that I give every client before they come to have a session with me is to think about the types of roles that they are looking to be cast for as this can really help with clothing selection as well as the lighting and backdrops that are used during the headshot session.
I truly believe in giving you a large variety of looks when you have a headshot session with me. My goal is to give you a selection of shots that show your range as an actor and most importantly get you seen! Take a look at some more of my work with lots of other actors!
The lovely and very talented actress / writer / director Tomi Sunmonu came by the studio for a new set of actor headshots, Tomi was brilliant in front of camera and was easily able to perform different looks throughout the session which meant she had a whole variety of shots to choose from.
As a London Headshot Photographer I always like to work with my clients closely and this not only means sitting down with them before the session starts to learn more about them but I also like to give direction while I’m shooting.
Most people don’t like having their photo taken but obviously as an actor getting acting headshots is a part of your career and I have found that a lot of actors really relax into a session when they have a direction / motivation to consider when we are shooting different looks.
I'll make sure that you'll always be able to have a relaxed, fun time in your Headshot Session, you'll never be rushed and I take time to get to know you as an person and what you want from the session!
Session Packages start at £150 with Student Discounts available!
Actor Elliot Clay had a headshot session to update his actor headshot portfolio, we shot a broad range of shots that could cover a large variety of roles that his agent had suggested to him. Your Headshot Photographer will want to work with you so that you achieve results that will make you look awesome and get you into the audition room, once the session is done you will be sent the images form the shoot to look over and then pick the actor headshots that you believe will work best for you.
I always recommend having a first initial look through your images from your session and selecting any favourite shots that jump out at you straight away, however it is then really important to take a break from looking at your headshot gallery. You are going to see lots of images of yourself and it is easy for your eyes to get tired, a break will mean that you can let your mind process the shots you have seen and then come back to it with a fresh pair of eyes.
In addition to viewing your headshot images this way, another set of eyes be that an agent, teacher, friend is also a must as they will be able to give you another perspective on your shots. If you have an agent then it is always a great idea to have them look though your gallery as they will be able to suggest the shots that they think will work best for the roles they will be putting you up for!
Testimonials are a great way of seeing what a session will be like as you can read about my previous clients experiences!

Now a dedicated Headshot Photographer, I believe each session should be fun and enjoyable, working closely alongside each client, helping to find the shots they deserve to take them to the next level.
Acting is one of the few careers in life where there is no barrier to entry, of course it can really help to study Acting at drama school / university but it is also a profession that is available to anyone who wants to try. As an Photographer who specialises in Actor Headshots this is what I love as I work with people from all walks of life from drama students to someone switching careers later in life to actors who have been performing all of their lives. The one thing that all of these people have in common though is a need for Acting Headshots that can help them stand out from the crowd and show off their range as a professional actor.Read on
